Authentic Ladies FC of Douala duo Tim Shalom Nakoma Ngam and Chahkes Fukuin Odette will play at the University of Bamenda stadium in Bambili for the first time in close to two years this Wednesday.

The Vision Sports Academy of Bamenda legends are in town with their ambitious Douala club and hoping to make a mark at the ground they gave their all for the Northwest outfit.

Shalom, captain of Vision for three seasons as well as Chahkes her deputy captain during that period will arrive Bamenda on Wednesday ahead of their match day eight fixture of the 2023/24 Guinness Super League championship against newcomers Ita Mbong of Nkambe.

The meeting will be the first between both clubs as the newcomers continue her quest to test her might with the more established sides.

Ita Mbong and Authentic Ladies clubs enter the contest in high confidence following their one-nil victories against Éclair of Sa’a and AS Fortuna Ladies respectively in the last round of matches.

Authentic Ladies co-top scorer this season, Shalom will be hoping to add to her four league goals this season while Chahkes will be hoping to guide the defense accompany goalkeeper Ngole Chelsea to a fifth clean sheet of the season.

The 11 AM kick-off contest in Bambili will certainly cause a meeting of a few old friends and attract fans of Shalom and Chahkes who will turn out to cheer them as it was in the days of relegated Vision Sports of Bamenda.

A win for Authentic will consolidate her stay on the fourth spot on the log while Ita will look to win and move above the 7th spot in the standing.

Elsewhere, fellow newcomers Dja Sports Academy will hope to continue their impressive start when they host struggling AS Fortuna in Yaoundé. Multiple champions AS Awa welcomes relegation-threatened FAP at the Omnisport Annex stadium on the same Wednesday while Louves Minprof battle it with resurgent Lekie Filles. Fresh from a defeat in Bamenda, Éclair will hope to return to winning ways against Eding Sport while leaders FC Ebolowa welcome Caiman on Wednesday and the Ita Mbong versus Authentic caps match day nine.
