23-year-old German-based midfielder Eric Dina Ebimbe has pledged his international allegiance with Cameroon despite being eligible to play for France which he represented in the youth category.
This Pan African Sports Portal has learnt from Jouers de Camer that they Entraint Frankfort midfield metronome has opted to play for his fatherland weeks after he held fruitful talks with president Samuel Eto’o Fils of the Cameroon football federation (FECAFOOT).
Dina, a product of the PSG Academy and former first team player at the Parc De Prince previously played for France’s U-18, U-20s but hasn’t had a lookout despite his massive season in Germany.

The addition of Dina into the Indomitable Lions midfield will improve the options available for Rigobert Song Bahanag and the rest of his technical staff already counting on the likes of Zambo Anguissa, Kunde Malong Pierre, Olivier Ntcham, Olivier Kemen, Yvan Neyou amongst others.
If all goes according to plan, Dina will be included in Cameroon’s squad for the 2023 AFCON and he could join a host of tournament debutants in the squad the five-time winners have on the plane to the land of the elephants.
Cameroon is pooled in AFCON group D alongside last year’s quarter-finalist The Gambia, 1976 runners-up Guinea and holders Senegal in the January 13 to February 11, 2024 continental soccer jamboree.
Though the tournament starts in mid January, Dina could make his debut for Cameroon in Pre-AFCON friendlies against Equatorial Guinea or Algeria scheduled days before the start of the 24-nations quest for African Football supremacy.
