A 25-man AS Real Bamako delegation has opened camp from this Wednesday in Cameroon’s lead Northern City, Garoua where they intensify their preparations for Sunday’s second-leg CAF Champions League preliminary round clash against Cotonsport.

The multiple Champions of Mali arrived in Garoua this Wednesday at 10AM before moving to their base at the Rebadou Hotel in the city center.

The 18 players plus seven persons in their staff are all lodged at the four-star venue from which they will carry out all pre-match formalities before Sunday’s big game.

Real and Cotonsport played out a goalless draw last weekend in Bamako, but will come out all guns blazing in Garoua as both sides need a win to advance to the next stage of the competition.

Real Bamako are on a mission to return to the group stage of the CAF flagship competition while Cotonsport is keen on making it a back-to-back group stage appearance in the Champions League.

Cotonsport have reached the group stage of the CAF interclub competitions in each of the past three seasons. Before last campaign, they made it to the group stage of the Confederation Cup in successive seasons.
