South Women’s National team, Banyana Banyana beat DRC 2-0 to progress to the third round of the 2024 Paris Olympics qualifiers on Monday evening.

A dominant display in the second stanza saw the hosts overcome the resistance exhibited by the Congolese in Soweto.

Racing Louisville’s forward Thembi kgatlana broke the deadlock first in the 71st minute before added the second 2 minutes to the final mark.

Goalkeeper Dlamini made return in posts ahead of Swart while winger Nicole Michael was phenomenal with two assists to her name.

With spoils shared in the first leg, South Africa advance to the next round on a 3-1 aggregate overall.

Coach Desire Ellis and her team will now wait the winner between Tanzania or Botswana.
