Cameroonian midfielder Daniel Junior Nguh has completed a move to Al-Hurriya Sports Club of Syria’s top flight. The 21-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Latakia-based club and will feature in the Syrian Premier League this season.

Born in Belo, in Cameroon’s North-West Region, Nguh is taking on his third professional adventure abroad. Before joining Al-Hurriya, he had spells with FC Minsk in Belarus and Anagennisi Derynias in Cyprus, where he showcased his technical quality and growing maturity in midfield.

Nguh is known for his sharp passing, ability to control tempo, and intelligence on the ball — attributes that have earned him a reputation as one of the promising young midfielders from Cameroon’s grassroots scene.

Speaking after signing, the player expressed delight at the new opportunity:

“I’m grateful for this chance. Every move has taught me something new, and I’m excited to give my best for Al-Hurriya. The goal is to keep improving and help the team achieve success,” Nguh is quoted by local media.

Founded in 1949, Al-Hurriya SC is among Syria’s traditional clubs and has been strengthening its squad for the 2025–26 campaign. The arrival of the Cameroonian adds creativity and energy to their midfield unit as they look to compete strongly in the league.

Nguh’s journey—from local academies in Bamenda to professional football across Europe and the Middle East—mirrors the ambition of many young Cameroonians using football as a platform to grow and inspire.

He now becomes part of the growing contingent of African talents seeking to make their mark in Syrian football.
