Dynamo Moscow clinched a nail-biting 3-2 victory over PFC Sochi, thanks to a last-minute goal from Cameroonian international Brice Moumi Ngamaleu.

The game, which unfolded at VTB Stadium on Sunday, May 5, 2024, saw the 29-year-old come off the bench to decisively tilt the scales in Dynamo Moscow’s favor during extra time.

Entering the fray in the 77th minute as a substitute for Jorge Carrascal, the ex-Young Boys standout made an immediate impact. Ngamaleu responded to Sail Guirrapa’s 83rd-minute equalizer for Sochi by setting up Souza Mares for Dynamo’s second goal just two minutes later, at the 85th minute mark. The match continued its seesaw battle as Ignacio Saavedra drew Sochi level once again.

However, it was the 2023 AFCON bronze medalist, Ngamaleu, who had the final say. In the dying moments of the game, at the 90+5 minute, he found the back of the net, securing a dramatic win for his team.

This match marked Ngamaleu’s fourth goal and assist in his 23 appearances this season, showcasing his vital contribution to Dynamo Moscow’s campaign.

The victory propelled Dynamo Moscow to the summit of the league table, where they now sit with 50 points, locked in a tie for the top spot with contenders Zenit and Krasnodar.
