Newcastle United have reached a full agreement with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for the transfer of highly rated winger Bazoumana Touré, with the 20-year-old now expected to travel to England for a medical and complete his move to St James’ Park.
The deal, which has been finalised between both clubs, marks another statement of intent from Newcastle as they continue to build a young, dynamic squad for the future.
Touré, who has been developing at Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga system, is known for his explosive pace, direct dribbling, and ability to stretch defences from wide areas. At just 20, he has already attracted attention across Europe due to his attacking versatility and potential for rapid development.
Newcastle view him as a long-term addition who can provide depth and competition in wide attacking positions, while also fitting into their strategy of recruiting high-upside young talents rather than established stars at premium fees.
Once the medical is completed, Touré will become Newcastle’s second summer signing, following the arrival of goalkeeper Ewen Jaouen, who joined the club last week as part of the club’s early-window rebuild.
Sources indicate the player is expected to fly to Tyneside in the coming days, with the club aiming to finalise paperwork quickly so he can join pre-season preparations as soon as possible.
If all goes smoothly, Touré will link up with the squad ahead of the new campaign, where he will compete for minutes in a highly competitive attacking unit under the club’s evolving project.
Newcastle fans will now wait for official confirmation, but all signs point to the deal being in its final stages, with only medical clearance and formal announcement remaining.
