Legendary Racing Bafoussam FC picked up their first win of the 2024/25 MTN Elite Two championship this Sunday at the Bamendzi stadium in Bafoussam.

A brace from Eric Batha was all the boys of coach Stephane Edjangue needed to beat visiting Ngokentundja FC and end their run of three games without a win.

Ngokentundja entered the contest on a run of two wins in a row but looked second best as the Racing players gave a perfect reaction to the protest stage by their fans questioning their quality.

Batha scored in the 42 and 47th minutes of the game to ensure the men from Bamenda leave Bafoussam empty handed and the host get maximum points.

The win for the 1999 MTN Elite One champions takes their points tally to five in four games this season and moves them up to the fifth spot on the log while Ngokentundja who are only a point better occupies the third spot on the table.

Racing fans will be hoping to see their team take momentum from the result and get consistent good results beginning the next game away to YAFOOT while Ngokentundja FC fans will expect their team shows a reaction when they welcome APEJES of Mfou next weekend in Bamenda.
