Morocco crowned U-23 AFCON champions

The Moroccan U-23 team has emerged as winners of the 2023 U-23 AFCON on Saturday.

The North African sides played out  1-1 draw as Mahmoud Saber’s goal being canceled by Yanis Gergraoui in the 37th minute taking the into extra time.

During extra time, Oussama Targhalline scored the winning goal to seal the title for Morocco.

This will be the fourth consecutive edition when the final of the U-23 African Cup of Nations will end in a2-1 win.

In the third place match, Mali edged Guinea 4-3 on penalties to win.
