Cameroon defender Christopher Maurice Wooh is currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital in Yaounde after he was stretchered off in his country’s 1-1 draw against Namibia this Friday.

The match day three Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier game ended prematurely for the Stade Rennes defender as he was taken off a minute before half-time after he crashed to the floor without contact.

Nkoulou replaced the Cameroon number 4 and reports emerging after the game says he is in the intensive care unit of the hospital.

Wooh was born in France, but opted to represent Cameroon in senior international football.

He was part of his country’s squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and lasted the duration when Cameroon defeated Brazil 1-0.

Reacting to questions about Wooh’s wellbeing during the post-match conference, an assuring Song said they were yet to get concrete information about the former RC Lens defender.
