Karl Karl Etta Eyong continued his blistering form as Levante beat Real Oviedo 2-0 on Saturday in LaLiga 2, Matchday 8. The Cameroon forward netted his fourth goal of the season, doubling the visitors’ advantage and putting the game beyond doubt.
Levante had taken the lead in the 30th minute when Carlos Álvarez tucked a left-footed finish into the top-left corner after a neat assist from Manu Sánchez.
Etta Eyong struck in the 72nd minute, connecting with a near-post corner and firing a right-footed shot from close range past Aarón Escandell. His movement and composure in the box were key, leaving Oviedo chasing shadows.
Levante almost added a third as Oriol Rey saw a long-range drive saved, while Oviedo squandered chances from set pieces, with David Carmo and Federico Viñas both missing headers.
The Cameroon star was replaced in the 87th minute by Goduine Koyalipou, capping a composed performance. With five goal contributions in five games and a first Cameroon call-up for the World Cup qualifiers, Etta Eyong is emerging as a lethal presence for both club and country.
