Bamboutos FC of Mbouda striker and deputy top of the 2022/23 MTN Elite One championship Junior Kemajou Dibami says he aims to mastermind Bamboutos FC of Mbouda’s first domestic title win as they begin the play-offs this Sunday against Canon Yaounde in Douala.

The Mangwa Boys face Canon Yaounde in their first of three crunch fixtures to climax this season’s competition.

Ahead of the 5:30 PM kick-off this afternoon at the Reunification stadium, Kemajou says he has two targets.

“The objective as a striker is to help Bamboutos FC win a maiden domestic. In addition I wish to win the Golden Boot,” said Kemajou.

The former Eding Sport and New Stars of Douala finisher could be key to coach Yves Clement Arroga’s side as they look to break an over 50-years jinx.

Fans of Bamboutos FC know if Kemajou enters the competition in form and adds to his 11 goals in this season’s Elite One championship then they are in with a chance of winning the title via this play-off.

Coach Yves Clement Arroga’s men are in Limbe and train in any of the four modern facilities in the seaside city ahead of their first game this Sunday against Canon Yaounde.

Bamboutos chasing their first league title earned a play-off berth after a great season in which they had the best defence.

The 2018 deputy vice champions open their playoff against 11-time champion Canon Yaounde on Sunday, before facing holders Cotonsport and newcomers Gazelle FA on May 18 and 21 respectively.
