UEFA Champions League group stage chasing FC Servette have secured the services of 25-year-old Jérôme Junior Onguene on a season-long loan which guarantees a reunion with compatriot Gaël Ondoua.
The 25-year-old Cameroon international completed the switch this Friday and was unveiled by FC Servette via publication of his photos and details of his contract on their official handle.
Jerome remains connected to Eintraint Frankfort till the summer of 2025 but has suffered from lack of game time which he intends to improve via the lone move.
The former Sochaux men joined the Bundesliga outfit last summer but was sent to RB Salzburg on loan midway into the season but didn’t have game time.
The switch to Servette takes him to a new country and a competitive club in the running for a place in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.
Ondoua who returned to Servette for his second spell at the club a few weeks ago is expected to help his brother and international colleague settle in as fast as possible.
Onguene will hope to rediscover his best form and shape as in the RB Salzburg days to increase his chances of being a regular and returning to the national team set up which he has been out of since March 2022.
