2024 Cup of Cameroon surprise package, Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe have left the town to an unannounced destination for the rest of their preparations for their crucial Cup clash against Canon Yaoundé at the Melong Municipal Stadium.

The boys of coach Joseph Mbock Maput drove off Limbe via a 38-seater Oasis Bus this Saturday morning, with sources close to the club revealing that they are headed to a base to increase concentration and their chances of achieving a result against the 11-time Cup winners.

The club is the Isle of anglophone football left in the Cup of Cameroon with many from that part of the country hoping that they go get the better of Canon and their next opponents to reach the final of the national challenge Cup.

ISOHSA that eliminated Legends of Kumba in the 32nd final of the competition, Unisport of Bafang in the subsequent round before pulling a shock 2-1 win against 2019 winners Stade Renard of Melong in the eighth final.

The stage is set for the first-ever official meeting between Canon and the Limbe-based outfit at the Melong Municipal Stadium which will be ISOHSA’s first game at the venue.

A success against Canon will mean ISOHSA’s fairytale run in the Cup of Cameroon will continue against the winner between Panthere of Nde and Colombe of Dja in the semi-final of the competition.
