ISOHSA 5-0 Sporting: Ashu, Babo at double as SW champs cruise to first interpool victory

Isle of Hope Sports Academy, ISOHSA, of Limbe has picked up their first victory in the ongoing national interpools in Yaounde.

The boys of coach Nlend Aime overpowered Sporting Football Club of Maroua by five goals to zero.

Brandon Babo and Brice Tabi Ashu’s brace and Albert Tiku Egbe’s goal was enough for ISOHSA to grab all three points.

Match Highlights

At the 13th minute of play, Agbor Fom Juan Veron delivered a perfect cross that was well headed into the back of the net by Brandon Babo to give ISOHSA the lead. The goal is Brandon Babo’s 10th goal of the season.

Six minutes later, Nick Afafa Nlend came close to doubling the scores for ISOHSA but his shot hit the side netting.

At the 24th minutes of play, a poor ball from goalkeeper Kelvin Ashu Mbah almost cost his team the equalizer. However, the shot from Faical Ibrahim Maigari went off target.

Sporting Football Club of Maroua had their first shot on target at the 29th minute of play when Kelvin Ashu Mbah saved a shot from Halilou Mamsourou.

Minutes later, Nick Afafa Nlend and Agbor Fom Juan Veron had chances to score for ISOHSA but their efforts failed to find the back of the net.

Despite coach Nlend Aime bringing in Dieudonne Onega for Agbor Veron, ISOHSA took their one goal lead into the break.

Sporting FC’s starting XI against ISOHSA

In the second half, Sporting FC of Maroua started the match the better side creating the most of chances to score.

ISOHSA took advantage of their first chance of the second half to double their lead. From a freekick, Brice Tabi Ashu found the Albert Tiku Egbe who fired home a low range pass goalkeeper Sadjo Aboubakar to give ISOHSA a two goals lead at the 63rd minute of play.

Two minutes later, Mamadi Maazou Moustapha almost reduced the deficit for Sporting FC but Kelvin Ashu Mbah saved from close range.

At the 78th minute, ISOHSA’s captain, Brice Tabi Ashu scored from a direct corner kick to give his side a three goal lead.

At the 84th minute of play, Brice Tabi Ashu scored his second of the match after a beautiful assist from Nzene Sergio Adiang.

Five minutes later, Brandon Babo sealed the five star performance with his second goal of the match and the 5th for ISOHSA.

Thus, after two consecutive draws, ISOHSA has picked up their first victory in the competition.

The victory takes ISOHSA’s point tally to 5 points and plus five goals with a match to go.

Sporting FC is yet to pick up any point after two matches played.
