Cameroon’s contingent of 33 persons have left the shores of the country for a short trip to Abuja ahead of Monday’s second-leg Paris 2024 Olympics games third round Olympic qualifier clash against the Super Falcons of Nigeria.

Injured Jeannete Grace Ngock Yango was part of the 23 players retained by coach Jean Baptiste Bisseck in the traveling contingent, plus the staff and auxiliary personnel left the Douala International Airport this Sunday at about 8AM and are expected in Nigeria before 10AM.

The Cameroon squad traveled with their Nigerian opponents via an Air Côte D’Ivoire plane that is expected to make a stop in Abuja before heading to Abidjan.

Cameroon Ladies will square up against their Nigerian counterparts this Monday at the MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja in search of an entry ticket.

The Cameroon versus Nigeria for the second-leg game at 4pm on Monday, February 26, will see the winner make it to the fourth round series against the winner of the tie between South Africa and Tanzania which the former took a healthy 3-0 lead last Friday.

Cameroon is hoping to qualify for the Olympics games for the first time since doing so for the London games in 2012 while Nigeria seeks to end a 16-year jinx that dates back to the Beijing games of 2008.
