Heartland set to face Heartland Feeder in Imo FA Cup

Heartland FC will slug it out with Heartland Feeders in the quarter final of the 2024 Imo FA Cup this afternoon at the Old Stadium,Tetlow Road, Owerri.

The Naze Millionaires annihilated King David of Uzoagba, Ikeduru LGA 4-0 through the goals of Samuel Stone, Ikechukwu Brandon, Christian Molokwu and Ezekiel Bassey while Heartland Feeders eliminated Barzo FC of Owerri in the earlier round.

All is set for the game that kicks off by 4pm with the winner of the tie up against Ikukuoma FC, Mbaise in the semi final of the competition.

Afolabi Timothy who had an outstanding game against King David FC told Heartland FC Media that he wants to do his best again if given another chance to play today.

He said his objective is to continue to impress the Technical crew headed by Christian Obi so that he would more playing time especially in the ongoing Nigeria Premier Football League season.

“The game against King David FC was a good game for me and the team. We wanted to show what we are able to do and we succeeded in doing that,” Timothy told Heartland FC Media.

“The game with Heartland FC Feeders is local derby and we shall give all that we have. I want to ensure that i am able to score one or two goals in the game if i am picked to play the game.”

Meanwhile, Heartland FC have gotten the permission from the Nigeria Premier Football League to make use of the facilities at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba for their home matches as from their weekend home fixture with Enugu Rangers.

Heartland FC will host their league games in Aba until the work on the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri is completed.
