Cameroonian international goalkeeper Haschou Kerrido has completed a transfer to Guinean Ligue 1 outfit Karfamoriah FC, bringing an end to his spell with fellow top-flight side AS Kaloum.
The Kankan-based club officially unveiled the experienced shot-stopper as one of its latest additions ahead of the 2026/27 campaign, reinforcing a squad that has set its sights on competing for major honours in Guinea. Karfamoriah, nicknamed “Les 6 Kilos,” has emerged as one of the country’s ambitious clubs and enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, establishing itself among the league’s leading sides.
For Kerrido, the move comes on the back of an outstanding individual season with AS Kaloum. The 32-year-old was voted Best Player of the 2025/26 Guinean Ligue 1 season after producing a string of commanding performances that helped Kaloum remain among the division’s most competitive teams. His leadership, consistency and crucial saves earned him widespread recognition across Guinea.
The Douala-born goalkeeper is no stranger to Guinean football. After previously featuring for CI Kamsar, he returned to Guinea in 2025 when he signed for AS Kaloum, quickly becoming the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
Kerrido has also enjoyed a distinguished career in Cameroon, representing clubs including PWD of Bamenda, Union Sportive of Douala, Unisport of Bafang and Stade Renard of Melong, before taking his career abroad.
On the international stage, Kerrido has earned six caps for Cameroon and was part of the Intermediate Lions squad at the 2020 African Nations Championship (CHAN), where he started the tournament opener against Zimbabwe and received praise for his assured displays.
Neither Karfamoriah nor AS Kaloum disclosed the financial details or duration of the transfer, but the move sees one of the most decorated goalkeepers in the Guinean top flight join a club hoping to challenge for silverware in the new season.
