Recovering Kameni Alice Flora found the back of the net on Saturday as Louves Minprof fought back to secure a 3-1 win against Eding Sport Filles on match day 21 of the 2023 Guinness Super League.
Kameni, Joelle Aboula and Pauline Prison Ndong scored for Louves Minprof, reducing Jacqueline Owono’s early strike to nothing.
Fans of the women’s game who turned up to watch the center region derby at the Olembe Annex B stadium were entertained as Louves came from behind to win and end a run of poor results lately.
Eding enjoyed a great start to the game and were rewarded on the quarter hour mark when Jacqueline Owono beat Beverly Merlot from close range.
The goal was a wake up call for Louves as they improved their game from the moment they conceded but poor finishing was their undoing.
Louves Minprof continued their push from kick-off of the second segment and were rewarded three minutes as Kameni took advantage of the time and space accorded her around the box.
Aboula scored the second for Louves before Ndong made it 3-1 few minutes later and with lots of time left on the clock.
Chances were few and far between in the final 22 minutes as Louves defended resolutely to win it and end a run of four consecutive defeats.
The first win in the Bassilekin 3 Odilon era is the club’s ninth in the Guinness Super League this season.
Louves go above Authentic into the sixth spot on the log with 32 points while Eding remains eighth with 26 points from 19 games.
