Coach Webetu Abate has left his role as head coach of the Walia Ibex of Ethiopia.
The Ethiopia Football Federation (EFF) announced this Friday, April 14 that they had reached an agreement to discontinue their collaboration with the man that led them at the last edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Cameroon and Algeria respectively.

EFF have confirmed that Head Coach Webetu Abate has left the 🇪🇹 National Team by “mutual agreement,” a confirmation message on the FA’s social media handles read.
The back-to-back AFCON 2023 qualifiers defeats against Guinea last month in Morocco marked the end of his stint at the helm.
Abate, a former defender spent two-and-a-half-year at the helm of his country’s flagship and secondary football teams, producing some sensational moments.
