Cameroon international Harold Moukoudi was once again the leader at the heart of AEK Athens’ defence, scoring the second goal as his side cruised to a 3-0 victory over OFI Crete in the Greek Super League on Saturday.
Moukoudi, wearing the captain’s armband, produced a decisive moment in the 83rd minute when he rose inside the box to meet Razvan Marin’s corner and powered a header into the net. The goal gave AEK a 2-0 lead and effectively killed off OFI’s hopes of a comeback.
The Cameroon defender had another commanding outing at the back, helping AEK keep a clean sheet while also making his presence felt at the other end of the pitch. It was a performance that underlined his importance to the Greek giants.
Filipe Relvas had earlier opened the scoring in the 41st minute, also with a header, before Moukoudi doubled the advantage late in the second half. Mijat Gacinovic then added a third in stoppage time to complete a comfortable victory for AEK.
The result continues AEK’s strong start to the season and another impressive chapter for their Cameroon captain. Moukoudi has been a regular leader for the club this campaign, and his latest contribution came at both ends of the pitch.
