Senegal, Morocco, Mali, and Burkina Faso are the teams that will be representing the African continent in the U17 FIFA World Cup in November.

All four booked their tickets thanks to their semi-final qualification in the ongoing U17 Africa Cup of Nations in Algeria.

The young Teranga Lions of Senegal will be the new faces in this world youth tournament. They haven’t missed out on their previous Afcon appearances due to their premature exit; these West African giants are here, and in grand style.

Amara Diouf’s brace on Wednesday helped complete their 5-0 thriller against South Africa in the quarterfinals, giving them the opportunity to qualify for their third World Cup in the space of 10 months.

If roaring was a prerequisite for a World Cup berth, then there is no doubt the young Atlas lions will live up to expectations. The piercing eyes of fans in the stands could not restrict Zakaria Ouazane and Adam Chakir from sinking host Algeria 3-0. Sad Chiba and his squad are off to their second U17 FIFA World Cup.

Another team that has kept a clean sheet in their quest for a World Cup ticket is Mali. This 2015 second place did so to the detriment of Congo. Ange Tia, Mamadou Doumbia, and Mohamoud Barry got the three goals for the Malian Eagles to hand them a place in the global showpiece.

As for Burkina Faso, their 2-1 win over Nigeria on Thursday meant a fifth qualification for the young stallion.
