Cameroon striker Souaibou Marou, the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner, has officially joined Al Shabab SC, a prominent first-division team in Bahrain, for an undisclosed fee and contract length.
The 23-year-old forward has been a free agent since departing Orlando Pirates, where he struggled to find his footing, playing only 29 minutes across two appearances during the 2023-2024 season.
Before his time in South Africa, Souaibou showcased his talent on the international stage, representing Cameroon at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
