The President of the Cameroon Referees Association Foko Stephane Kamga has suspended 24 Referees banned for match fixing and direct and indirect involvement in sports betting.
According to a communique signed by president Foko, 24 Referees and Assistants Referees involved in football, Futsal, Beach Soccer have been banned from every sporting activities across the national triangle.
Amongst the suspended officials are former FIFA Referee Kouete Lemouchele, Ngwa Blaise, Souleymanou Bah among others.

With multiple competitions under their belt, one is tempted to ask how a Referees of this caliber can be involved in the case of match fixing and betting.
However, this news may not have come as a shocker to Many Cameroonians, as the elite one season was marred by the poor performance displayed by these Referees, especially in matches of great importance, however the timing seems off.
FECAFOOT not only concluded a three years deal with the main betting platform 1XBet, but also had received stern warnings from its fourth vice presidents to release a list of officials and Referees involved in a possible match fixing case against his team Njalla Quan Academy in the south west regional Interpools.
