Udinese Calclio’s Enzo Jacques Rodolphe Ebosse only lasted seven minutes on return from injury during Sunday’s goalless draw away to Cagliari in match day four of the Italian Serie A championship.

The Udinese family football was left scratching their heads on Sunday as Cameroon internationa returned to Serie A action for the first time in seven months and limped off injured again.

Enzo was introduced seven minutes before the interval but left again before the restart, due to a fresh injury.

The 24-year-old who missed the best part of the end of last season is said to have done his cruciate ligaments, months after he was forced off owing to the same problem.

Coach Andrea Sottil will be without the former Lens defender for a while again.

If earlier evidence is anything to go by, then there are limited chances he features at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament for Cameroon to whom he pledged his allegiance in international football after featuring for France at youths level.
