Yong Sports Academy of Bamenda striker Mael Dindjeke scores a second-half brace to help his team pick up all three points against YAFOOT and take a bold step toward safety in the elite one championship.

YAFOOT had taken the lead in the first half in the 24th minute of the match when Philip Mataba scored from the penalty spot.

All attempts from YOSA to equalize in the first half were futile.

In the second half, YOSA continued dominating the possession of the ball as YAFOOT resulted in playing on counterattack.

In the 67th minute of play, YOSA’s dominance paid off as Njongmu Rudolf won a penalty for YOSA. Mael Dindjeke stepped up to score and level scores for YOSA.

Four minutes later, Nchindo John Bosco and Njongmu Rudolf combined beautifully, the shot from Rudolf was parried away by goalkeeper Paul Doublin Dissounga but Mael Dindjeke was well placed to score his second of the match.

Despite a nervy last quarter of the match, YOSA held on to grab all three points.

The victory takes YOSA to 24 points after 19 matches.

YOSA will be on standby the next match day before traveling to Douala to play against Astres in their last league match of the season.
