East Africa Awards: Crested Cranes duo Nabweteme and Aturo nominated

Uganda duo Sandra Nabweteme and Ruth Aturo have been nominated in the category of 𝑶𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈𝑭𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒓 𝒇𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒍𝒆 at the 2023 East Africa Youth Awards.

Aturo ,is a goal keeper at Al Shabab WFC in Saudi Arabia while Sandra Nabweteme trades for Maccabi Kishronot Hadera WFC in Israel.

The duo was part of the Crested Cranes team that participated at the WAFCON Championship in Morocco after over 20 years without show at the continental tournament.

In the same category ,Rwanda and FIFA World Cup Referee Salima Mukansanga has been nominated alongside the duo.

The youngster and Tanzania U17 forward Veronica Mapunda who broke news at the recent FIFA U17 Women World Cup in India is also listed.

The voting process of the awards commenced today 15th and will end on 31st March.

The East Africa Youth Awards is a unique award with the main goal and objective of seeking to recognize the most outstanding and exceptional talented youths of both genders of the East Africa Region.
