Cameroonian midfielder Chem Herbert Mbunwe has completed a switch from YOSA of Bamenda to Spanish side CD Leganes after completing an impressive tryout period with the second tier club.

Chem,19, spent last season at YOSA, helping the club avoid the drop despite enduring a slow start to the Elite One championship.

The former PWD playmaker and who scored the lone goal to help the Abakwa Boys win the 2022 Cup of Cameroon and earned the man of the match award from that performance.

Herbert moved to Europe for tryouts and took advantage of his opportunity after two weeks to earn a contract.

The teenager began his career at Santos FC before switching to PWD of Bamenda where he spent three years and made his top-flight debut and left a lasting impression.

He becomes one of YOSA’s biggest export to Europe in recent years.
