Cameroon’s National Sambo Team is set to hit the mats for a closed training camp starting Tuesday, September 17, 2024, in preparation for the ECCAS Open Sambo International Tournament.
This first-ever event will be hosted at the Mfandena Gymnasium in the country’s political capital Yaoundé from September 27 to 29, 2024.
The squad selected for this competition, features 26 athletes (both men and women), who will use this intensive camp to fine-tune their techniques and strategies under the watchful eye of National Technical Director Maître Bayiha
This rigorous training follows a comprehensive three-week program that wrapped up last Friday September 13,2024.
The athletes are now ready to bring their A-game, aiming to dominate on home soil and clinch top honors.
With the ECCAS Open Sambo International Tournament on the horizon, the Indomitable Lions of Sambo are laser-focused on showcasing their prowess and securing victory in this premier regional showdown.
For this maiden edition, it is confirmed that 11 out of the expected 15 countries will be in the mix.
