Celebrated Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana Onana of FC Internationale Milan could become the first Cameroonian goalkeeper to reach the final of the prestigious UEFA Champions League if his side eliminates city rival AC Milan this Tuesday.

Onana, who kept a historic 7th clean sheet in 12 matches in their 2-0 win against their last weekend needs to be at his best this Tuesday to help Inter reach the final again after 13 years, but himself become the first keeper African custodian to reach the final of the top two UEFA interclub competitions.

The 27-year-old who also played the final of the UEFA Europa League with Ajax in 2019 has been one of the most important figures in the Inter dressing room this season.

The former Barcelona B shot stopper has stood up for his team whenever he is called upon while also being very involved in most of his club’s good work as shown by his heat map in the reversed fixture.

The Indomitable Lions reject is certainly cementing his name in the heart of the Inter fans, less than a year after arriving as a free agent from Ajax Amsterdam.

If Onana’s Inter Milan goes through, they will face the winner of the Manchester City versus Real Madrid tie scheduled to take place at the Etihad Stadium this Wednesday.
