Cameroon forward Adrien Boris Mfoumou continued his fine form in Europe, scoring his second league goal of the season as Differdange 03 thrashed Racing Luxembourg 5–1 on Match Day 3 of the Luxembourg top flight.
The former AS Fortuna striker grabbed his side’s third goal of the afternoon, capping another confident display that underlined his growing influence in Differdange’s attack. It was his third goal in all competitions since arriving less than six months ago.
With the win, Differdange remain top of the championship table with 28 points from 10 matches — and still have a game in hand on second-placed UNA Strassen.
Mfoumou, who rose through the ranks of Cameroon’s domestic league with Fortuna, earned national team recognition after a string of eye-catching performances in the Elite One championship. His move to Europe has since seen him adapt swiftly to a new environment, combining pace and intelligent movement to make an early mark in Luxembourg.
The 20-year-old’s growing consistency is now drawing praise from fans and pundits alike, as Differdange aim to maintain their title charge and push for continental football next season.
