The dynamic Cameroonian duo of Jonathan Ngwem and Arnold Eba propelled Modern Future FC to a resounding 3-0 victory over Asuyt Petroleum in the round of 32 of the Egypt Cup.

Jonathan Ngwem, the seasoned 32-year-old forward, wasted no time making an impact. Just two minutes into the match, he opened the scoring for the Cairo-based club. His clinical finishing set the tone for what would be a dominant performance.

The first half saw both teams locked in a battle, with several attempts to alter the scoreline. However, it wasn’t until the 63rd minute that Ngwem extended his side’s lead, showcasing his experience and composure in front of goal.

At 2-0, the tension rose as Asuyt Petroleum fought to stay in the game.In the second minute of extra time, Eba struck a decisive blow, securing the victory and sending Future FC through to the Round of 16.

Ngwem’s contributions have been pivotal throughout Future FC’s campaign this season. From league matches to cup competitions, his goals and leadership have been invaluable. Recently, he inked a two-year contract extension, committing to the club until 2027.

Arnold Eba, on the other hand, has quickly become a fan favorite. His late winner against ENPPI in the Egyptian Premier League earned him his first “Man of the Match” award. Notably, Eba joined Future FC in January from Fauve Azur, and his impact has been immediate.
