Another first place wins for team Cameroon at the CEMAC Nanbudo Cup organized in Yaoundé between July 1 and 2, 2023.

The team swept 19 medals out of 20, with 15 of which being gold, to consolidate their dominance in this sport discipline in the Central African region.

Cameroon is closely followed by guest appearance Namibia, who raffled 19 medals, five of which are gold.

The Nanbudo CEMAC cup is a biennial competition which regroups Nanbudokas from the six countries in Central Africa; Chad, Gabon, Congo, RCA, Equatorial Guinea, and Cameroon, to compete in two day Japanese martial arts tournament.

Cameroon is hosting the tournament for the third time since its inception in 2016. The country of Pr. Justine Diffo has finished overall winners in all four editions.

The 2023 edition came with some changes, like the introduction of a guest Country, Namibia, among others.

All this was under the watchful eyes of the Cameroon minister of sports, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi.
