Latvian side FK Auda has announced the departure of Fabrice Joseph Ebogo Ondoa through a release issued on Monday evening.
The Cameroonian goalkeeper’s one-and-half-year stay at the club with whom he won the Latvian cup ended on July 3 per a message issued by the Club via their Twitter handle.
“If you love someone then you should be able to let him go,” the club published with a photo of their captain before adding;
“Today we allow our captain to move into a new stage in his career. Thank you Fabrice, we will remember you forever.”
In all, Ondoa played 47 games for the club and was one of the most outstanding players during that time.
Ondoa is linked with a move to a number of clubs across Europe, but the next destination of the 2017 AFCON winner is unclear.
Ondoa began his career at the Fundesport Academy in Cameroon, before to Barcelona’s La Masia close to a decade ago. He has played for Sevilla, KV Ostende among others before joining Auda in December 2021.
It is our understanding that the 27-year-old will move to a club in central Europe that will be participating in the continental club competition next season.
