Cameroon’s political capital Yaounde, will be the converging point for sports marketing experts, between September 16 and 17 2023 for the first-ever Africa sports marketing summit.

Spearheaded by Cameroonian expert Nasser Njoya, founder of Palmares sports organisation, a sports marketing and events agency, this colloquium aims to equip club owners, players , journalist and students, with the right knowledge and skills, needed to tap into the multi-billion dollar sports industry.

Statistics from the sports global market explains the sports industry is worth over  $486.61 billion in 2022 and is expected to grow to $512.14 billion in 2023 at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.2%.

These gigantic figures however do not reflect in the Cameroon sporting scenes clouded by corruption, mismanagement, absence of funds, lack of investments amongst other things.

This is why there is need for stake holders to converge, fine-tuning measures and strategies to boost the sector in the forthcoming years.

The Africa sports Marketing summit brings in both national and international guests speakers. At the national level, we have Alex Siewe, international communications consultant, former Director of communication of CAF ,
Jehu Kamdeu Marketing Director of Les boisson du Cameroun, Trésor Penku, Central Africa Delegate La Liga just to name a few.

Marcos Pelegrin, co-founder of the world football summit and office manager of La Liga in south Africa will be present. His will be drilling participants on the theme: Strategy Model of a federal institution, a sports league or club, with main focus on how to make sports institutions, federations, attractive clubs, and attract sponsors.

Registration for this event is currently ongoing.
