- 45th African Handball Clubs Championship to hold in Yaoundé
- CAHB President signs protocol of Agreement with Cameroon handball Federation boss
Cameroon will be the epicenter of the 45th edition of the African Handball Clubs Championship,scheduled for October 17 to 26,2024 in Yaoundé.
This was the outcome of a signing ceremony between the President of the African Handball Confederation, Dr Aremou Mansourou and the President of the Cameroon Handball Federation Abba Oumate.
Present in Cameroon since, February 28, Dr Aremou Mansourou met with members of the local organising committee for the signing of a protocol of agreement, regarding the holding of the continent’s handball Jamboree.
Speaking to the press, the Continent’s Handball governing body head said;
“The choice of Cameroon was based on the strong dynamism of the new top management at the Cameroon Handball Federation .The management’s resilience and commitment has given me the impression that the event is going to be a big success”, he said.
” I want to use this medium to extend words of appreciation to the Cameroonian authorities for giving their support. However, the competition will help to project the Cameroonian handball to a high-height, reason why we are committed in giving them our support “, Dr Aremou Mansourou added.
According to the Cameroonian Handball Federation head, ” We shall give the best of ours, to make the competition a scintillating and memorable one.Again, it is the Cameroonian handball that will be projected to the entire world. And l can reassure you that, we are set for the daunting task. Our country have hosted many international sports competitions,with the beautiful infrastructures put in place by Head of State. We must make a proper usage of these jewels, “Abba Oumate said.
It should be recalled that the African Handball Clubs Championship, is an international competition aimed at showcasing the talents of home-based players.
Officials of the African Handball Confederation,have expressed their satisfaction upon visiting the various infrastructures to host the competition.
The competition also has another domain of tourism, cognisance of the huge visitors that will be coming to Cameroon.
