Fouodop Yannick and it Vincent Gimdoh have been promoted to the rank of FIFA international Referees from this January 2025.
The information was contained in a FIFA release sent to national associations on January 1, confirming Fouodop as replacement for Tanyi Shadrack who held the badge for a year while Vincent takes the place of Bigoul Ronalde who was a FIFA assistant Referee for five years.
The move brings in two new faces to the experience crop of FIFA international Referees from the central African nation led by the likes of Noupoue Elvis and Carine Atezambong.
In all, Cameroon counts 24 FIFA Referees and assistant Referees henceforth. They include seven men and four women Referees.
The new list of Referees include experienced Effa Essoumba Antoine promoted 12 years ago, Ngwa Blaise Yuven who earned his badge in 2017, Ngah Willy, Dimoya Florent, Bito Jeannot amongst others. Fouodop is the only new addition from last year and his entry in place of Tanyi means the outgoing official held the badge for just a year.
The women’s Referees remain unchanged from last year and includes long-serving Ngo Biem Marie Josephine who has been around since 2017, Kenne Nadine, Guimbang Aline A Etong Marie and Ntangti Innocentia.
The men’s assistant Referees remain unchanged with experience names like Elvis Noupoue promoted in 2013 Oumarou Sanda, Menye Mpele while the women’s assistants Referees remain unchanged with the likes of Atezambong Carine, Djoreba, Tsafack Laure and co still in the block.
In addition to the football Referees, Cameroon can boast of a number of Futsal Referees including Ibrahima Souleymanou and Eric Elingu who have played a number of international matches and competitions already.
