Officials of the Cameroon Cycling Federation (FECACYCLYST) will get the 2023 season underway this Sunday in Yaoundé.

According to a release from the institution’s Communications Director Jean Baptiste Biaye, the institution will start the new campaign at 10AM this March 5.

A 100KM junior and senior categories national competition which starts from the 20th May Boulevard in Yaoundé to end at the same venue will be used as the competition to open the new campaign.

Hundred of athletes from across Cameroon are expected to participate as the Cycling’s highest management body in the country makes efforts to grow through local competitions that improve their athletes chances in international competitions.

This Sunday’s event will be under the distinguish patronage of Cameroon’s minister of Sports and Physical Education Professor Narcisse Mouele Kombi.

Professor Kombi is expected to be on ground to encourage the Athletes, the Federation and more.

Cycling in Cameroon is gaining interest especially with the innovations around it’s flagship championship; the Chantal Biya international Cycling tour, which has been dominated by Clovis Kamzong Abessolo over the past few years.
