CAF move to increase CHAN 2022 audience

Fans from over 66 countries around the world will be able to watch the curtain raiser for the 7th edition of the Africa nations championship from the Baraki stadium in Algiers.

The confederation of African football has made a substantial investment in the production of this tournament for local players, with the standard ten to fourteen cameras used in previous years increased to twenty four.

Algeria’s EPTV is the host broadcaster working closely with CAF TV partners to give viewers an up to standard competition.

The signal will be shared to other Caf approved media outlets, with 18 of them coming from participating countries.

As per Africa sports,18 media outlets have been selected by CAF to broadcast all games running from January 13 to February 4.

In Cameroon, Crtv and CRTV sports are the only channels selected to relay games in the seventh edition of CHAN. This lone state media was in charge of production in 2021 and has been at the center of continental football broadcast for some time now.

For the host, the third Algerian public national television news channel Algeria 3(A3) will air live games for its home audience and beyond.

MALI : TELEVISION NATIONALE DU MALI (ORTM)

ANGOLA : TELEVISĀO REPUBLICA DE ANGOLA

MAURITANIA : TELEVISION DE MAURITANIE (TVM)

CONGO :TELE CONGO

NIGER : OFFICE DE RADIODIFFUSION TELEVISION DU NIGER (ORTN)

Viewers without any of the above mentioned channels can also watch it on supersport.

CAF will also transmit games lives on social network .

These broadcast will be accompanied by on site commentaries from some African legends.
