Algeria has passed her first Chan test.

Algeria’s local organizing committe, has surpassed CAF expectations in the preparations of the organization of the Africa nations championship.

The General Secretary of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Mr Veron Mosengo-Omba,
With the LOC Chairman, Rachidi Oukali, affirm on Wednesday’s press conference at the Nelson Mandela stadium that, all is set to host this three-week long event .

“With the continued guidance of CAF, we have worked hard and well in ensuring that the tournament meets the high standards that have been set by CAF in hosting a world-class competition,” says Rachidi Oukali .

All boxes fitted for international standard has been ticked by this north African nation, from the stadiums, to training camps, lodging , transportation , you name it.

“We recently concluded our visit with the CAF Secretary-General to all four cities and we are glad to report that he was quite impressed with the state of readiness,” he continues

This being the first major CAF competition Algeria is hosting since AFCON 1990, the country has made a strong statement with regards to hosting CAF tournaments.One that hasn’t gone passed Mosengo-Omba, as he expressed his satisfaction

“We have been working quite closely with the LOC and are proud to confirm that they have done amazingly well in preparing and meeting the high standards that have been set by CAF.

“We must also thank the governors of Algeria for their support. Everything that they had promised to CAF, has been fulfilled. They are doing a great job and must be applauded.”

Algeria’s efforts are all in line with CAF vision to ensure continental competitions can rival world class tournaments, in terms of organization, production and distribution.
