Djibouti Premier League giants AS Solar 7 have announced the end of their working relationship with veteran Cameroonian midfielder Dimitri Alexandre Song Billong, kick442.com can confirm.
Song who has been on the books of the club since 2020 has ended his adventure with the club as underlined by the club’s statement this Wednesday.
The former Arsenal, West Ham and Barcelona Midfielder enjoyed three great years at the club, winning back-to-back League and cup double in Djibouti.
Song made over 50 appearances for Solar 7 and was captain for most of his time at the club.
His departure creates a void in midfield expected to be filled by younger players at the club.
Song, 35, is in the twilight of his 19-year-old career that has taken him from Bastia SC in 2004 to Solar 7 these days.
He is expected to announce his next move in the days ahead. Song has been tipped by many to be good enough to venture in other areas of the game after retirement.
