  • ISOHSA edged Legends FA of Kumba by 3-0 in their first-ever meeting in all competitions
  • Goals from Ashu Brice Tabi, Nko Ghangle Rattensi and Michael Wirikom did the job.
  • The clean sheet amounts to ISOHSA’s third clean sheet in a row for the first time since after the opening three MTN Elite Two matches of this season

Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) are through to the 32nd finals of the 2024 Cup of Cameroon following a comfortable 3-0 win against Legends FA of Kumba masterminded by a tubor-charged Brice Tabi Ashu.

The ISOHSA skipper scored and assisted as the Limbe side outclassed their opponents from Kumba to register their first win of the competition this season.

Second-half goals from captain Ashu and versatile Ghangle Rattensi Nko plus substitute Michael Wrikom Chirfu ensured the MTN Elite Two side got the better of their regional championship brothers and advanced to the next round of the competition with a date against either Hemle FC or Unisport of Bafang.

ISOHSA on a run of four wins in succession entered the contest as favorites hoping to extend their brilliant spell in all competitions and did just that.

The best chance of the opening half fell to the boys of coach Mbock Maput and Teteh Edwin who were fully in charge of the team for the first time. Ikose Njuma had the ball in the back of the Legends net but the goal was chalked off following an excellent call from the match officials.

The visitors from Kumba had half chances of their own but failed to beat Ashu Kelvin Mbah.

ISOHSA improved upon resumption. Skipper Brice Tabi Ashu announced his sparkling afternoon with a well guided effort from 25 meters out which went directly into the Legends FA net.

Ashu served Ghangle for the second goal just minutes after the latter switched to the right wing-back position before Michael who replaced Kouo Ulrich completed the perfect afternoon with another long range goal.

The win is ISOHSA’s biggest in the national rounds of the competition and makes it two seasons in a row that they club has made it to the 32nd final.

ISOHSA will face winners between Unisport of Bafang and Hemle FC in the next round of the competition, hoping to make it in the stage they failed last season against Dynamo of Douala.
