The Cameroon National Football Academy (ANAFOOT) will parade three of its products during the 2022/23 MTN Elite One championship title play-offs tournament in Douala.
Custodian Che Randy plus Full-backs Ntomb Simon Pierre and Ghangleh Rattensi Nko all of Canon Yaounde are the three products of the institution that have made it to the money phase of the championship.
The three players played valid roles to help the Mekok Megunda reach this stage of the championship.
They constituted key members of the Canon squad that is targeting a first domestic championship victory since 2002.
Unfortunately, coach Souleymanou Aboubakar is without Motapong Hamed who partnered though Alain Moukoko at the back during most of the first phase of the championship.
Motapong, an ANAFOOT product too is out of the squad due to injury. However, if Canon Yaounde triumphs his input this campaign, especially in that massive 4-0 against Cotonsport in the close of the first round of the championship will be remembered forever.
This season, 15 graduates of ANAFOOT competed in the Elite One championship. The likes of Noh Nafeng Yvan of APEJES, PWD trio Ning Che Bong Kadad, Febe Fritz Gills and Agbor Bessem Bogard, YOSA’s Precious Nwakeke plus the above-mentioned Canon Yaounde quartet are some of the deliveries of the institution in it’s fourth year of operations.
Canon Yaounde, Gazelle FA, Bamboutos FC of Mbouda and holder Cotonsport of Garoua will compete for from May 14-21 in Douala to determine the next champion of the Cameroon top-flight championship.
