Kenya are Champions of this just ended 21st edition of the African Nations Women’s Volleyball Championship since they last did in 2015.

The Malkia Strikers beat Egypt 3-0 in straight sets during the final on Thursday, August 24, to emerge winner of this prestigious tournament for the 10th time(the most than any nation)

Kenya recorded a 25-22, 25-20, 25-14 win to grab the qualification ticket to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Reaching the final of this competition automatically earned Kenya and Egypt a place at the 2025 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship as representatives of the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB).

Kenya still remains the most decorated nation as far as this competition is concerned, having won it in 1991, 1993, 1995, 1997, 2005, 2007, 2011, 2013, 2015 and now 2023.

The Kenyans only managed to win silver in 2017, 2019 and 2021. They are now back on top after a while.

Egypt and defending champion Cameroon finished second and third respectively.
