Rigobert Song Bahanag, head coach of the Indomitable lions of Cameroon has called Nicolas Brice Moumi Ngamaleu to replace Francois Regis Mughe in the lions squad.

Francois Regis Mughe had indicated his inability to honor the called up to represent Cameroon at the 2023 AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire.

Nicolas Brice Moumi Ngamaleu is expected to join the rest of the Indomitable lions squad in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in the early hours of January 5, 2024.

The Dynamo Moscou player will therefore be taking part in his second Africa Cup of Nations after that of 2021 on home soil.

In the Russian Premier League this season, Moumi Ngamaleu has scored 2 goals and provided two assists in 16 league matches.

Born on July 9, 1994, Ngamaleu made his debut with the Cameroon national team against Guinea on March 28, 2017. He was later included in the Cameroon squad for the 2017 Confederations Cup in Russia.
