The Democratic Republic of Congo President, His Excellency, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo will travel to Cote d’Ivoire to watch the national team’s semi-final clash with host, Cote D’Ivoire at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The number one citizen of the Central African country will travel to Cote D’Ivoire with 200 people for the AFCON 2023    semi-final game against the hosts on Wednesday at the Stade Alassane Ouattara in Ebimpé.

His presence at the encounter is expected to spur and motivate the team to victory over the host.

With four straight draws, DR Congo finally won their first game of the tournament in the quarter-final which set up a last-four clash with the Elephants.

One of the two remaining unbeaten teams in the competition alongside Nigeria, the DR Congo side will take the Indomitable record at the tournament to the host.

The host has lost two group games and qualified as one of the best third-placed teams.

After the group stage struggles, the West African side has stunned holders, Senegal in the Round of 16.

This was followed by a dramatic 2-1 win over Mali after extra time despite playing the larger part of the match with ten players.
