Etsombo Adiyi Herve and Emmanuel Nchanji scored in either half to help Foncha Street FC of Bamenda to a fourth victory on the spin this Wednesday on the return of the Cameroon Elite 2 championship.
The Bamenda based elite two side defeated Stade de Bertoua by 2-1 in a highly contested encounter at the Bambili school field.
This win means they are on a 100% win rate this season with three on three wins keeping them at the head of the table.
An early moment of brilliance saw Adiyi produce one of the most fascinating goals I have watched this season. His solo run and control from the right flank with a one-two aid from Carter saw him finish off so easily opening the score.
Foncha Street went on break leading and on returned with renewed momentum ready to give their fans more of their show.
That set piece just after the halfway line saw Emmanuel pose over with everyone expecting a cross. Ooh my that shot with precision and power saw the goalkeeper struggling to do what could be seen as effortless with Foncha Street doubling the lead.
With an added advantage Foncha Street FC pressed more and had two solid efforts by Carter denied by the woodwork.
The Bertoua side tried to revive their stance in the game as they called back one . Well it wasn’t enough as coach Mbabot’s boys keyed up their defense and goal post till the end.
Coach Mbabot is yet to draw or lose a game with Foncha Street and fans are already feeling confident of an elite one ticket.
Good football followed with the needful which is winning is what has now made Foncha Street FC the favorite team of fans in the region.
A team whom winning was farfetched in their first two seasons in Elite two are now the side with the most wins this season.
How far will they go???
