The Kingdom of Morocco have voiced its discontent about the incursion of Israeli forces into the Al Aqsa Mosque this Wednesday, April 5.

Moslem faithfuls observing the holy month of Ramadan at Al Aqsa in Palestine were attacked by elements of the Israeli security services in the early hours of Wednesday.

Reacting to the unfortunate incident, Morocco’s ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and the Moroccan expatriate condemned in strong terms these acts of agression and terror on worshippers.

“The Kingdom of Morocco, whose Sovereign HM King Mohammed VI chairs the Al Quds Committee, stresses the need to respect the legal, religious and historical status of Al Quds and the Holy Places and to avoid all practices and violations that are likely to destroy all chances for peace in the region,” the statement said before adding;

“The Kingdom reiterates its rejection of such practices, which only complicate and exacerbate the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and undermine efforts to ease tensions and restore confidence,” the ministry concluded.

Relationship between Israel and Palestine hasn’t been the best over the years but Morocco and a number of countries are putting in a shift sometimes through sports to enhance the return of peace.
