Panthère du Ndé came from behind to secure a convincing 3-1 victory over Aigle Royal du Moungo at the Fotso Victor Stadium in Bandjoun, strengthening their position in the early stages of the 2026/27 MTN Elite One championship.

Panthère du Ndé produced an impressive second-half performance to overcome Aigle Royal du Moungo 3-1 in their Matchday Three encounter, recovering from an early setback to claim all three points on home soil.

Aigle du Moungo started brightly and took the lead in the eighth minute through Brondon Ndam, putting the visitors in control of the contest. However, Panthère gradually grew into the game and found their equaliser three minutes before half-time, with Theo Matthew Williams scoring in the 43rd minute to make it 1-1 at the break.

Williams continued his impressive performance after the restart, completing his brace in the 59th minute to put Panthère ahead for the first time. The hosts maintained their momentum, and Tagbor Stanley Agbor added a third goal in the 73rd minute to seal a 3-1 victory and complete the comeback in Bandjoun.

The victory takes Panthère du Ndé to six points from three matches, having recorded two wins and one defeat. They move into second place in the early standings, just one point behind leaders Aigle Royal de la Menoua, who have seven points. The result also leaves Aigle Royal du Moungo on three points after three outings, following their second defeat of the campaign.

For Panthère, the comeback represents an important response after their early concession and provides renewed confidence ahead of their next league assignment. Aigle du Moungo, meanwhile, will have to address their defensive shortcomings after allowing their first-half advantage to slip away as the Elite One season continues.
