Unisport Bafang continued their MTN Elite One campaign with a valuable 2-0 away victory over US Abong-Mbang at the Bertoua Departmental Stadium on Sunday, November 1, 2026, in a Matchday Three encounter.
The Bafang-based outfit made an immediate statement, taking the lead just 10 minutes into the encounter through Junior Tang. His early strike gave Unisport the perfect start and put the hosts under pressure as they searched for a response.
US Abong-Mbang attempted to get back into the contest but struggled to break down a disciplined Unisport defence. The visitors maintained their advantage into the second half, showing composure and organisation while limiting the hosts’ opportunities.
Unisport eventually put the result beyond doubt in the 70th minute when Kazobar Kasongo found the back of the net to double their advantage. The goal sealed a deserved 2-0 victory and ensured the visitors returned home with all three points.
The result represents an important boost for Unisport Bafang in the early stages of the 2026/27 Elite One campaign, while US Abong-Mbang will have to regroup after another difficult outing. Unisport’s ability to score early and protect their advantage before adding a second goal underlined their effectiveness on the road.
With Matchday Three now producing important movements in the championship, Unisport will look to build on this performance as they continue their pursuit of a strong campaign in Cameroon’s top flight.
